General mobile mechanical repairs
Not every car problem fits neatly into one category. Tell NR Mobile Autocare what has changed and where your vehicle is, and we can discuss an appropriate inspection or repair.

Start with what you have noticed
A leak, unfamiliar noise, rough running or difficulty starting deserves a clear description before anybody recommends parts. Note when it happens, any warning lights and whether the problem is getting worse.
A practical first conversation
- Share your registration, make and model if known.
- Describe the symptoms rather than guessing at a failed component.
- Tell us whether the vehicle is at home, work or another safe location.
- We will discuss whether diagnosis or the likely repair can be carried out on site.
Mobile work with sensible limits
The vehicle, job and available space determine what can be safely handled at your location. If the work needs specialist facilities or equipment, we will not promise a mobile repair that is not appropriate.
Enquiries are welcome from Oldbury, Birmingham and surrounding West Midlands areas.
When the problem does not fit a category
You might know only that something is leaking, the car is making a new sound or it no longer drives as it did last week. Try to note when it happens: at idle, over bumps, while braking, during a cold start or after a longer journey. A photo of a dashboard message or the area beneath the car can provide useful context, but it cannot prove the source of a fault.
If the vehicle is overheating, losing a significant amount of fluid or behaving in a way that feels unsafe, stop using it and ask for advice from a safe place. A description that says the car is not driveable is important because it changes the options for inspecting it.
From description to a sensible plan
- We can discuss whether the symptoms point towards a diagnostic visit or a known repair.
- Accessible components may be inspected before recommending replacement parts.
- Vehicle history and recent work can help avoid repeating checks unnecessarily.
- The repair can be assessed against available space and safe access at your location.
- If specialist facilities are needed, a mobile repair should not be assumed.
What to ask before agreeing work
Ask whether the cause has been confirmed or whether the first step is an inspection. A quote for investigating a fault is not necessarily the same as a quote for fixing it; the repair scope can become clearer only once the issue is identified. If a part is suggested, ask what symptoms and checks support that recommendation.
General mechanical enquiries can cover many different vehicles and problems. The registration helps identify the car accurately, while the postcode and parking details help establish whether a visit is practical. Tell us about any warning lights, unusual smells, fluid loss or changes in performance, even if they seem unrelated. That gives us a better starting point than a guessed component name.
Frequently asked questions
I do not know what is wrong. Can I still ask for a quote?
Yes. Describe the symptoms and send your registration. An inspection may be needed before a repair can be quoted accurately.
Can every repair be done on site?
No. It depends on the repair, vehicle and safe access at the location. We will discuss suitability first.
